It was bright enough for night navigation, bright enough to see the rope ends on full pitch ab's and duration was excellent. The new 2008 version is even better, it runs longer and is 200% brighter! SPEC: Weight without batteries: 100g Weight with batteries: 175g Max output: 85 Lumens continuous, 150 Lumens on boost BATTERY COMPATIBILITY: Alkaline: YES Lithium: NO NiMh / Rechargeable: YES* * Current Myo XP's are compatible with NiMh and other Rechargeable batteries. Earlier versions were not. If you already have one check the battery compartment is stamped "rechargeable battery compatible" before using rechargeable batteries. DURATION / OUTPUT: (tested by Petzl @ 20°C) T=0h means "zero hours", fresh batteries right at the start. T=0h30 means "after 30 minutes use" T=10h means "after 10 hours use" etc.... Low / Economy: T=0h <34m beam T=0h30 <31m beam T=10h <27m beam T=30h <24m beam A comfortable amount of light and lasts for ages. Good for moving over easy or known ground, and with the diffuser good for close work, around camp etc. Middle / Optimum: T=0h <54m beam T=0h30 <47m beam T=10h <36m beam T=30h <21m beam For general use this is the setting you'd use most, providing a good amount of light but still giving good duration. High / Maximum: T=0h <72m beam T=0h30 <59m beam T=10h <39m beam T=30h <16m beam Loads of light! Good for ab'ing off in the dark, route finding etc. Boost: T=0h <97m beam Can be used for up to 20 seconds when even more light is needed. Max duration to 0.25 lux at 2 meters is 180 hours. We would recommend swapping the batteries after 24-36 hours for "outdoor" use where more light is generally required. Helmet Clips (set of 4) Ref: E04350 Attach to the head-band clip under the rim of a standard caving or climbing helmet. To attach to a cycle helmet or Petzl Metor climbing helmet you will nee the E04405 clips listed below.
