Petzl Duo for expedition caving For expedition caving we'd recommend going for the elasticated headtorch version which Combined with a helmet like the Petzl Ecrin Roc can be easily removed for use as a headtorch around camp or in the event of a lamp failure, replaced with a spare without using tools.Image: Hitch n Hike Ltd 2006. Enlarge  Many helmets, like the Petzl Ecrin, have integral clips to secure headtorches but they can still be dislodged and often, without you realising. The first you know is when your lamp falls off which in certain situations could be serious. To prevent this it is advisable to secure the lamp to the helmet with either cord or cable ties.
