Grivel 3.18 Mountaineering Pole Folded Diagram Folding up up like an avalanche probe, these poles are incredibly short and compact when not in use. They are very quick and easy to deploy or take apart, with all sections kept together with a central wire. The 125cm and 115cm fixed lengths cater for most people. If you're 5'8" or taller go for the 125cm, up to 5'8" go for the 115cm.

Grivel 3.18 Mountaineering Pole EVA Grip The long EVA foam grip is good in cold conditions and allows for imediate change of hand position when ascending or traversing steep ground.

Grivel 3.18 Mountaineering Pole Twister Lock Mechanism Like the locking mechanism is easy to use in winter. Like some other poles it uses a sprung stud to lock the sections in place but what make the "Twister" different is the way it's released. Normal stud locks can be difficult to release at the best of times and are usually impossible with cold fingers or gloves. The "Twister" has an easi-grip rotating collar that pushes the stud in to release. Very simple but highly effective.

Grivel 3.18 Mountaineering Pole Saturn Basket Unlike normal baskets the variable angle "Saturn" basket can rotate through approximately 45˚ up and down in all directions so when placed on snow or soft ground it maintains a sure footing when you move past it with less of a tendancy to twist.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY: We source many of our products from very small manufacturers who don't have registered bar codes. Although technically possible it is impractical for us to operate an automated stock control system. We would be working for the machine rather than the machine working for us and there aren't enough hours in the day to do it. However, it is rare for us to be out of stock of anything and we do our best keep our site updated accordingly. If we know we're out of stock of something we remove the "add" button or put a note against the item. In the rare event we sell out of something between web site updates or we miss something, we would let you know, giving you the choice of keeping the item on order or cancelling. If you would like to check availability of an item prior to ordering either give us a call or drop us a line by email. E: info@hitchnhike.co.uk

YOUR SECURITY: We use the Actinic Payments System powered by CreditCall. This is 100% PCI DSS compliant and 3D secure. Actinic Payments meets all current banking security standards including PCI DSS, which is now a requirement for all UK businesses to accept credit card and debit card payments. It also supports anti-fraud options such as AVS, CV2 and 3D Secure. Your card details are not held anywhere in our system.
