The Fenix HL23, manufactured from hard anodised aluminium and tough plastics, is light, bright and compact. It use a single AA battery and is compatible with NiMh, alkaline and lithium types. NiMh is the best for regular use, alkaline for general and lithium for best duration and cold temperatures. I'ts rated to IP-68 (-2m) so ideal for use in harsh environments.

Control is via a single easy to use side mounted switch which activates the head torch and changes brightness levels.

For regular use, and to get the best performance, Fenix recommend using either a good quality high capacity NiMh rechargeable, good quality alkaline or lithium batteries. The latter being the best for very cold conditions and ultimate duration.

The HL23 is superbly engineered. The body is made from hard anodised aluminium, tough plastics and a toughened mineral glass lens. It's rated to IP-68 so is ideal for use in harsh environments.

The HL23's IP-68 rating also means it's protected in very dusty environments.

The HL23's is light and low profile, and good for helmet mounting.

The on-off/output level button is easy to use with gloves.
